2011 Perennial Plant of the Year

It seems reasonable to make the first plant profile Amsonia Hubrechtii.  Not only is it the Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year, it is also famously dynamic. Silver blue flowers are attractive when it blooms in spring, but it is planted for its ferny foliage and fall color.

You seem so great at this. I am inspired to be surrounded with beauty like this when I become a home owner.

This is a great suggestion. I’m not the best when it comes to gardening although I try really hard at it. I plan to spend a great deal of time ‘planning’ my garden re-design this spring. I’m looking for something that gives coloring through all the seasons and easy to maintain. Looks like I’ve found it.
